How does ZZZYP.com work?
For consumers:
Digital products are purchased using PayPal and they are available to be downloaded immediately after purchase. The buyer logs into his/her account to initiate the download. The buyer has a period of 7 days during which he/she can download the purchased products. The reason for the 7 days period is that uncompressed music and high quality video files can be quite large, so we want to make sure that the buyer has plenty of opportunity to successfully complete the downloads.
In order to minimize the download time all products have been zipped (compressed). When the buyer completes the download he/she can unzip the files and start using them right away.
For the artist.
Media is submitted via post mail (not online). As a result, I get to supervise every single product. Unfortunately this slows things down a bit, but I am more interested in quality than in quantity. I personally digitize the products, compressed then into ZIP files and create MP3 audio clips ... yes that is a lot of work, and I don't charge you for it. (at least not just yet)
Artists get 50% of the sales price after discounting a small transaction fee. (This is the money that PayPal keeps).
